Cameron Diaz hasn’t performed an acting project since 2014, and she usually does interviews, so this fresh session she gushes about Benji Madden’s husband is a pleasant happening!
The actress of 46 years of age speaks up to the mag about what it’s like to be married.
“The greatest thing that ever occurred to me was to get married to him,” she said. “The greatest of my husband. He’s the biggest man, and he’s my great partner. Of course, marriage is difficult, and it’s a lot of job.
You need someone who is prepared to do the job with you, because in marriage there is no 60-40. It’s a period of 50-50. The whole moment. Whether I was ready[ when I got married] I don’t understand, but I realized Benji was unique. He’s only a good man. No bullshit exists. It’s really cool. I’m so thankful for him.
“It’s funny that no one knows what I’m up to,” Cameron said to the mag. “Because all of my moment is mine. I don’t sell any movies, and I don’t have to give anything to anyone because I don’t sell anything. I’m no longer doing this. I live my life.”
“I like developing, so I’m just looking for the project that gives the most meaning to me now,” she explained. “I’ve got some stuff to brew, but to speak about them is a little too soon.”

“I started [experiencing fame] when I was 22, so 25 years ago—that’s a long time. The way I look at it is that I’ve given more than half of my life to the public. I feel it’s OK for me to take time for myself now to reorganize and choose how I want to come [back] into the world. If I decide to,” @CameronDiaz says in our September issue. “You know, I think the 40s are the best decade. You just get to be real with yourself, and you can also make necessary changes because you have the experience of looking back on four decades. You get to let go of giving a shit about anything. It’s such a relief.” More on returning to the spotlight on her own terms at the link in bio. #InStyle25 | Photographed by @camillaarmbrust; Styled by @rebeccarams
