For many of our exterior inspo nowadays, Pinterest and Instagram have largely proven to be the origin-but their generally costly impact can (and often) keep us out of the loop.
However, one DIY enthusiast left users of social media in awe after transforming her staircase for just £ 65. You read that correctly: £ 65 for the entire venture.
Super-savvy Nicole Kelly from Southampton was filled with thousands of compliments after she published pictures of her handicraft on the money-saving Extreme Couponing Facebook page and Bargains Group UK last week.
“Then I floated them, washed them down, packed Polyfiller with the gaps and imperfections, and sanded the steps with an orbital side sander. Approximately 5 minutes a staircase and floated again.
Nicole continued to explain her method, explaining that she used masking tape before she began painting to safeguard the neighboring regions.
She communicated: “I made two ground paint layers, putting about two days between the layers to offer the paint moment to settle. Although the paint was touching wet after about 10 hours, it’s essential to maintain the animals back if you have it for about three days, so shut off the steps if you can.
We have to admit that the finished article looked incredibly expensive and much more expensive than the £ 65 she invested transforming the staircase. We are totally amazed at her ingenuity.
