Fast and Furious 9 begins the final story of the beloved franchise. At the same time, it can prepare comebacks for beloved actors like Dwayne Johnson, The Rock.

As is known, the actor started to act in the derivative itself, Fast and Furious: Hobbs & Shaw. This was due to disagreements with Vin Diesel and Tyrese Gibson.

This situation seems outdated. With that, The Rock has what it takes to return in major films like Luke Hobbs.

At Cinema Blend, Fast and Furious 9, director Justin Lin, commented on the return of Dwayne Johnson. The filmmaker indicates that he is thinking about how to use the character as well as Jason Statham’s Shaw.

“I think that has always been our approach. A lot of conversations I have are about characters that aren’t even in the movie, but are still and breathing in the same universe. In this one (the 9), which is when I came back, I thought a lot about Hobbs and Shaw and all the characters. They never disappear, you can be sure”, declared the director.

With that, fans can look forward to good news for upcoming Fast and Furious movies.

“Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto is leading a quiet life off the track with Letty and his son, little Brian, but they know that at any moment, that could change. This time, a threat will force Dom to confront the sins of his past and save those he loves most,” begins the synopsis.

“His team unites against a worldwide plot led by a high-performance assassin and driver: a man who is also Dom’s abandoned brother, Jakob,” reads the film’s synopsis.

The cast names Vin Diesel, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, John Cena and Michael Rooker. John Cena plays Jakob, who seems to play a prominent role in the film as Dom’s brother.

Fast and Furious 9 is scheduled to debut on June 24, 2021.
