Dieter Bohlen is out, but Florian Silbereisen is now on the “DSDS” jury. Today his search for a superstar begins.
The new jury of the RTL casting show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (DSDS) has taken a seat in a glass case in the middle of the market square in Wernigerode in the Harz region.
On Thursday, the castings for the new season started in the city in Saxony-Anhalt, in which Florian Silbereisen is now firmly on the jury and for the first time no longer Dieter Bohlen. The nervousness on this first day was there, said the TV presenter shortly before the start of filming in the RTL journal “Punkt 12”. “It’s something new for us and we want to find a new superstar,” said Silbereisen.
In the next few days, the audience will be able to watch the jury’s fingers through the glass studio. People stand all around and watch the filming. The hustle and bustle around the casting should accompany Wernigerode until the coming week. The city is the first of several casting locations. The episodes of the show are to be broadcast from January 2022.
RTL announced in March that there would be a completely new jury for the 19th season of “DSDS”. Thus, after almost 20 years, the era of senior juror Dieter Bohlen (67) at “DSDS” came to an end. In addition to TV presenter Silbereisen (39), producer Toby Gad (53) and singer Ilse DeLange (44) are now on the jury.
